Great Food Great Owner Best Chinese Food In Marshfield

we love getting food from Kong. this is a family run business and they provide great service and good food. they take suggestions if you want food cooked a certain way and our orders are always right (unlike some other places where we get home and are missing food or have different items in there). our friend visits from florida and always gets tons of sushi from there. if you eat inside the waitstaff is very attentive.

Hong Kong - Great Food and Great Customer Service

I have been going here for years both before it closed due to the renovations in the center of town and since they have reopened.

I am very impressed with the new owners. They will go above and beyond to make their customers happy. One night I had a question on the menu and asked the man about it while placing an order over the phone. He not only took the time to explain the dish. When I told him about a dish I had enjoyed in Boston's Chinatown section, he told me 'we can do that'. I was not only impressed because of his offer but the dish was just as good, if not better than the one in Chinatown. The shrimp and vegetables were fresh and the sauce was wonderful.

They have takeout and delivery. The delivery is fast and the food has always arrived fresh and hot. Hong Kong really cares about their customers and their satisfaction with their food.

I highly recommend Hong Kong and will be a frequent customer.

Looks CAN be deceiving

Goes From Amazing To Horrible

I Used to be a huge Hong Kong fan, but the last few times Ive had it, the food has been horrible.

Usually Cold, and tasteless.. and the quality and ingredients change every time!
Not to mention, the place is disgusting inside.

Consistently pleased!

I have been to this place many times and I have never been disappointed. I think there was one time when I had a problem with my order. The owner was all apologies and exceeded my expectations in handling the problem. The food is well prepared and very tasty. It does not compare with Chinatown in Boston but it is among the best on the South Shore. The owner is good to the town, too. He supports various charities and also offers support to other businesses that are downtown. A great guy who runs (or helps run) a great place!

Wonderful!!!

I have been to many Chinese restruants before and Hong Kong is the BEST. My family and I have gone their for many years. The staff know us and we know them. They even know what we want to drink and that we always go for the buffet. The food is great and the service is awesome.

Hong Kong has amazing food. My family and I have been getting Chinese food from Hong Kong for over twelve years now. We;ve has bad experiences only once or twice when they mistakenly leave out something or give us part of someone else's order. They are always very pleasant even when they are swamped with orders. We are on a first name bases with the owner (steve haha) and would recommend this to restuarant to all who enjoy good Chinese food. Particularly, the Chicken Lo Mein is AMAZING! Never have I had such good lo mein. Also, they do not add scrambled eggs to their rice like other Chinese food joints. Hong Kong is the best Chinese around!

A Wonderful Experience!

Last night, I had occasion to purchase my first order from the Hong Kong. The food was absolutely delicious! It was served up promptly (about 15 minutes), and was piping hot, perfectly seasoned, and with fresh looking and tasting ingredients. The woman behind the counter was polite, and helpful. The chefs were more than happy to see me watching them prepare the food through the plexiglass window provided for that purpose. My menue choices included fried rice, lo mein, egg foo yong, and chow yoke. The portions were generous, and each container was packed tightly. I bought the large size of everything, and the bill was about $25.00. I will be enjoying the leftovers for at least two more meals. A wonderful experience!

Was Once a Devoted Customer, Not Any Longer

I used to go to Hong Kong Restaurant a lot. It was on my way home, easy to get to, friendly staff and the vegetables were fresh. After a few months, I noticed the broccoli was not as fresh. Still, I ate there. Finally, one meal had a wirery piece of brillo pad in it. When I complained to the staff, they refused to believe me. Now, I understand broccoli isn't fresh at all hours of the night. But, I don't lie about metal in my food. I will never go back. And that, they better believe. Sorry, Hong Kong you earned it.

much more friendly now here is competition in town

Ate there hundreds of times, now they are so friendly. They do use MSG unless you ask otherwise. Pretty dirty too, but if you are in the mood for good Chinese it is the best in town. I honestly can say I never got sick eating there unlike other Chinese places in town.

Health Violations!!

I used to love Hong Kong! One day after calling in an order I walked into the place and stood at the counter. Everyone was quite busy, so it was no big deal that I wasn't waited on. As I stood there waiting at the counter, I saw one of the cooks take a basket of chicken fingers out of the oil, and was pouring the fingers into a bowl. I saw one hit the floor. He went to pick it up, then looked up at me..who was staring at him, then he stood up and "casually" kicked it across the floor until he THOUGHT I couldn't see him pick it up and add it to the rest. Needless to say, I didn't eat my food that night, & haven't been back since.Be careful in this place...

The Best...

This is easily the best Chinese Food you can find in Marshfield or anywhere on the South Shore. I love Chinese food and have eaten at many places, but few beat Hong Kong. There are one or two in Boston that are at the top of my list but once you get outside the city limits you will find that Hong Kong is #1. It is an added feature that the owner is such a nice man, too.

Great food and Great people...

This place is nothing fancy. It is not a sit-down restaurant at all since they only have a couple table in there. Is it the best Chinese food in the entire world? No. But it most certainly is the best Chinese food in Marshfield. You can't go wrong with the Hong Kong. Every time I go there, I know I can depend on them for quality food with a great taste. They never let me down and after trying all the places in Marshfield (Ming Dynasty, China Wok, Hung's) I can say that this place is superior to all of them. In addition to the great food, the people who run it are very nice. They are friendly, polite, and helpful whenever I visit their establishment. We need more people like them in this community and more Chinese restaurants that can compare to Hong Kong.

Hung's

I would like to say a few things about this restaurant. First of all, the people who work here are always very nice and helpful. Also, a lot of Chinese Food Restaurants claim not to add MSG to their food but actually do... not Hung's though. All their food is made without MSG which is the main reason I started going there. My mother suffers from migraine headaches and we found one of the main things that trigger them is MSG and she has NEVER had a migraine after eating at Hung's. There food is good, the people are friendly and the restaurant is clean! I'd give it 5 stars!
