Review submitted on July 13th, 2009 by greenharborfan from Green Harbor Some call is cozy I call it cramped We've eaten here twice. First time, I was not impressed with either the food, which was basic burgers, or the service, waitress was very slow. Since we always give a place a second chance we tried again.
Review submitted on January 29th, 2009 by Brian James from Pembroke Great Family Restaurant I stopped in to the Halfway Cafe in Marshfield a few weeks ago with my family. It is small, but very comfortable. We went on a Tuesday night, and to our suprise it was "Kids Eat Free" night. Our daughter's meal was free, I loved the steak tip dinner, and my wife enjoyed her turkey dinner meal that was on their $7 menu! Our waitress was was very bubbly, even though there were a bunch of young children in there! All in all it was a good experience! Review submitted on January 20th, 2009 by Brant Rock Guy from Brant Rock Great place This is a great place to catch a game and have some bar food. It's not a 5 star restaurant, its a bar. So you should expect bar food. The beer is cold, and the bartenders are decent. Sean the manager is a great guy, even though he wears a Yankees hat. Great job Sean! Review submitted on August 10th, 2008 by Pete Carrington from Hanover Patio They did a nice job with their patio. The food and service is getting better. Some of the $7 meals are good value. Will be a good place to watch football come Fall.
Review submitted on July 10th, 2008 by Dan Kent from South Shore Marshfield dining have eaten there numerous times since they opened. decent food-decent portions and the prices are fair... lots of TV's and the service is pretty damn good. staff is young but friendly. on a 1-10 rating.... I'd give them a 7.5... good burgers and steak tips.... Review submitted on July 1st, 2008 anonymously from Marshfield Great Place for Late Night I went to the Halfway Cafe for the first time Saturday night. I couldn't believe how many tv's they had for sports entertainment. They also had a guitarist singing popular tunes. The bartenders were great!! Plus we got a pizza and some yummy wings at midnight!! I'll be back Review submitted on June 12th, 2008 by pubfoodlover from marshfield nothing special I recently went to try the pub food and was not impressed. The food was no different than Friendlys.Nothing special here and the seating is cramped.Sorry, but no reason to come back!
Review submitted on June 6th, 2008 by Eddie Duckett from Marshfield Decent meals for the price Have eaten there four times in the three months that they have been open. They are simple with no frills. Don't expect gourmet for a $7 meal. What I've ordered and seen ordered has been pretty good for pub grub-- burgers-steak & turkey tips- pizza..some of the $7 specials. The french fries are hand cut so better order them well done or they appear to be soggy but they are tasty.I've found these people to be friendly and trying to do the right thing.I eaten at the bar every time and found the bartenders above average. I've spoken with the manager, Sean and his boss Mo.They are trying to get it right and make people happy. They have more than one of these and I remember when I lived in West Roxbury they opened in Dedham from more far back than I want to remember.
Review submitted on June 1st, 2008 by Pat from Marshfield Don't take out from here The food is probably good if you eat in, but I recently ordered the smokehouse chicken sandwich to go. It's topped with bbq sauce, bacon, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Sounds good, right? When I got it home, I opened the box which was WAY too small for the amount of food they put in it. It appeared to be a solid block of onion rings. After digging down for a while, I could see that they'd put the sandwich in the box open-faced, and what was now on top of the burger was just a mess of onion rings squashed into the various toppings. After scraping off the rings, there was really nothing left but a piece of chicken.
